There seriously has never been a better time to create a video for your business than right now. Like ever. Like ever ever. The amount of video being consumed today is just crazy, and you know where all this video is being consumed? Mobile.

Mobile, mobile mobile. Ok I am going to stop repeating myself, but like how many videos have you watched on your phone this week. Think about it.

In the U.S. alone, research firm eMarketer reports, one in three consumers watch video on their mobile devices, which means watching video on mobile is already more common than using devices to listen to music. There’s also mounting evidence that people who watch video on their smartphone are giving it their full attention.

So how can this impact your business. Well there is obviously a slew of people wanting to watch videos on their mobile devices and their paying attention. They aren’t throwing away your mailers so their kitchen counters look nice or looking past the recommended google searches. They are watching videos that are in their news feeds on their phones.

So does your marketing strategy really target that potential consumer? And does the video you want to make for your business impact your customer?

The cool thing is this does not have to be a massive investment on your part to reach new potential customers. Most mobile video viewers want an ad targeted to them that is less than a minute. If you can figure out how to market yourself in less than 1 minute and target effectively you have a potential sale.

You should strive to make your content as concise as possible to achieve the highest engagement. If your message is more complex, feel free to give it the time it deserves, but understand that a major chunk your audience won’t make it to the end of the video and consider front-loading your video with the most important information at the beginning.

Targeted video advertising is one of the best way’s to get your brand in front of the right customer and on mobile your video is even more effective and more likely to be watched.
